Argon Gas Feed Hose:

• Leak tight from regulator to purge system.
• 12 mm to 12 mm quick connect fitting as standard.
• Special fittings on request.
• Suitable for all TIG/GTAW/PAW welding
• Stocked in standard lengths, 30 m, 25 m, 20 m, 15 m, 10 m and 5 m.
• Special lengths made to order with our new high-pressure end fitting tooling.
• Can also be used for transporting nitrogen gas.
• Temperature range –30º up to 80ºC.
• Safety factor of three times working pressure, 20 bar (300 psi).
• Conforms to British Standard BS EWN 599 Quality Standard.

PurgeGate®:

• Regulates the gas flow during purging to prevent the Inflatable Pipe Purging Systems from over inflating.
• Fitted as standard to QuickPurge® and HotPurge®.
• An accessory to be purchased separately for PurgElite® and PurgExtra® as well as for other Inflatable Tube and Pipe Purging Systems.
• Can be purchased individually.
• Easy push fit connection.
• Simply plug and play.
• They fit all system sizes (1 to 88”).

Inflatable Weld Purge Dams

This weeks Product Feature is our Inflatable Weld Purge Dams, single ended for closure welds, right angle bends and T piece joints where a conventional Tandem Weld Purging System cannot be used. More importantly, they replace paper of foam dams which are inadequate for weld purging.

Other features:
• Available from 6 to 88” (150 mm to 2,235 mm).

• Very large sealing surface to ensure that there are no leaks.

Our Product Feature this week is our MultiStrike Tungsten Electrodes.

Low Profile Stoppers

This weeks Product Feature is our Low Profile Stoppers, designed for applications where insufficient length of pipe is available for our regular Cylindrical or Spherical Stoppers.

Other features are:

• Low width from font to back.
• Ideal for blocking pipe or duct ends.
• Used in vertical mode, they will prevent machine swarf or tools falling into pipes and contain all material for easy retrieval.
• Available in sizes 6 to 88” (150 to 2,235mm).
• Fitted with a Schrader Valve for inflation and deflation.
• Heat resistant up to 90ºC (194ºF).

We have a version of these Stoppers, that are used for weld purging known as Weld Purging Dams, for replacing foam dams.

Introducing the NEW PurgEye Desk Weld Purge Monitor®

This month we are launching the PurgEye Desk to the Press. This is a heavily updated version of the old PurgEye® 500 Weld Purge Monitor®.

The addition of PurgeNet™ makes it ideal for use with Welding Chambers and Enclosures as well as Orbital Welding Machines and other Automatic Welding Systems.

Flexible Enclosures have been designed for applications where a rigid chamber may not be economically viable or where space may be at a premium.

Low Cost

The PurgEye Nano is the industry’s most affordable Weld Purge Monitor® capable of accurately reading O2 levels down to 10 Parts Per Million (PPM). This unit is specifically designed for purging applications involving ultra-high purity stainless steel, titanium, zirconium, and nickel alloy, etc. This no-frills, highly accurate monitor is a simplified version of the PurgEye 300 Weld Purge Monitor™.

Pipestoppers

This week’s Product Feature is our range of Pipestoppers, for leak tight blocking and plugging all tubes, pipes and other shaped orifices.

Nylon Plugs are Manufactured in sizes 0.5 up to 6” (12 – 150 mm).

• Lightweight and mostly pocket size.
• Available in ready-made kits including: Orbital Welding Kits, Plumbers Kits and Car and Truck Radiator Kits.

Aluminium Plugs, suitable for arduous duties such as exposure to high temperatures and immersion in chemicals.

• Manufactured in sizes 1.5 to 36” (38 to 900 mm).

Steel Plugs for larger diameters.

• Up to 72” (1,800 mm), also available in double versions for enhanced sealing.

HotPurge Pipe Purging System

This weeks Product Feature is our HotPurge Pipe Purging System for welding chrome and high strength stainless steel joints that require a pre-heat and post-heat treatment.

HotPurge Features include:
• Ideal for weld purging pipework that has to be heat treated before, during and after the weld.
• Allows the purge to be safely continued for up to 24 hours.
• Prevents oxidation that would lead to loss of corrosion resistance or metallurgical imperfections.
• Manufactured with PurgeGate® to prevent over inflation and bursting.
• Available in sizes 6 to 96” (150 to 2,440 mm).

• The dams create perfect seals either side of the weld joint.

Water-Soluble Purge Film

For closing welds, water-soluble Weld Purge Film offers a safer alternative to paper. Film does not contain water, unlike paper that is full of water, unsuitable for welding.

Water-Soluble Purge Film features and benefits:
• With the new water-soluble adhesive, Weld Purge Film® produces a tough, leak tight purge containment.
• One roll can accommodate a range of pipe sizes.
• Can easily be washed away during hydrostatic testing of the pipe or just by normal wash out.
• Dissolves to molecular level leaving no traces.
• Film dams wash away completely (there are no fibers, as there are with paper products, that can clog up filters and make lumps to stick in pipes).
• Ideally suitable for welding where it is not possible to retrieve the purge dam after the joint is complete.
• For use when an Inflatable Tube and Pipe Purging System is not suitable or affordable.
• Easy to view the weld progress through the transparent material.
• Fantastic replacement to people using paper. As we know, paper has a very high percentage of water and nobody wants water vapor coming into the weld once the welding heats everything up.
